- Right-click the file in Downloads → Properties → Digital Signatures tab.
- Confirm the signer is Glarysoft Ltd. Click Details → View Certificate if you want to double-check.
- Optional: scan with Windows Defender before running.

Why Some Antivirus Tools Flag It
Registry cleaners and system optimizers change Windows settings. Some AV products label that category as PUP (potentially unwanted program) — not the same as malware. If the file is Glarysoft-signed, the flag is usually a false positive. If there is no signature, delete the file.
Fake Sites and Typosquatting
Popular tools attract copycat pages. Watch for:
- Misspelled searches: glary utilitis, glary utilites, glary utlities, gleary utilities
- Installers that push extra toolbars or browser extensions
- Domains that look almost right but are not yours

The desktop app runs locally on your PC. It does not need an account for the free build. Registry edits are backed up before changes. You see a full list of files before deletion — nothing is removed silently.
